This is the third of the four event series, The Storm Trail Race Series.

HOW MANY LOOPS CAN YOU OR YOUR TEAM MAKE DURING THE DAY?
This event is made for EVERYONE!!! You can do one loop or 50 loops….it is all up to YOU!! The clock begins at sunrise and you will have until sunset to complete the looped course as many times as you can. Tired after the 3rd loop….take a rest! Want to stop and eat lunch after your 10th loop…..go for it!! It is all up to you!!
Pre-registration is required! We are unable to offer race-day registration.
Relay Teams
If you choose to participate as a team, you and your teammates can decide who does how many loops and in what order. Put your feet up while your teammate takes their turn on the course! Half of you want to walk and the others want to run….perfect! This is the event where that is not only allowed….but encouraged! You do what you want and at what pace! Teams will have a limit of 5 members. We also have a Family Relay division! Bring your whole family out to join in on the fund of Storm the Day! One participant must be under the age of 18 and they must complete at least one loop.
Course
The course will be 2.50 miles per loop. This course will be the flattest course of the four race series! No big hills to climb at this event! Set a goal for the day and enjoy the journey of attaining that goal!! Your friends and family are welcome at the event to help cheer you on to that goal...no matter what it is!
Aid Station
We will have a large area for participants to pitch a tent or set up their own aid station. We will provide your typical aid station food, including PB&J sandwiches, chips, cookies, etc. at the start/finish line. You can bring your own adult beverages to consume during the race. Just please no glass containers.
Cupless Event
To reduce our environmental impact, this race is cupless. Please bring your reusable cup, refillable water bottle, or hydration gear. Silicone cups will also be available for purchase at check-in.
Meals
Participants will be provided a warm lunch from a local sandwich shop. Supper of pizza will also be provided.
Race Shirts
Race shirts will be available to purchase for $15 during the registration process. The cutoff date to order a shirt is September 6, 2025. Shirts are sold in Men's and Women's sizes. The Women's sizes tend to run a tad smaller in the torso whereas the Men's sizes are a bit wider in the torso. You will not be able to exchange sizes on race day so please be sure to double-check the size you are ordering.
Camping
Camping is available for both Friday night and Saturday night through Prairie Island Campground. https://www.prairieislandcampground.com/
Post Race
Post-race events will include food and live music by The Bootleggers! Bring your favorite adult beverage to celebrate your success!
Volunteer Info
If you choose not to participate but want to be involved, Volunteers will be needed pre-race, post-race, and throughout the day. Check out the volunteer page on RunSignUp to sign up to volunteer!
Donations
30% of every registration fee and all donations collected during registration will be donated to the Prairie Island Adventure Club! This program is dedicated to empowering youth ages 5-14 through outdoor adventures.
